Former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki, who is currently on trial for alleged mismanagement of $2.1 billion arms funds, says he intends to invite former President Goodluck Jonathan as his witness. Jonathan has in the past condemned the charges against Dasuki, claiming that there is no way the ex-NSA could have stolen about $2.2billion funds for arms. Dr. Jonathan said: “We bought warships, we bought aircraft, we bought lots of weapons for the army,” he said in a recent interview at the Oxford Union in the United Kingdom. Speaking with The Nation correspondent, Mr. Ahmed Raji (SAN), the ex-NSA’s counsel, said Dasuki wanted Jonathan to testify in court on his behalf. Troops carrying out clearance operations on suspected Boko Haram terrorists hideouts in Talala and Ajigin, southern part of Borno State, were ambushed by suspected Boko Haram terrorists at Ugundiri village, Damboa Local Government Area, Borno State, while returning to base after clearance operations yesterday. Unfortunately, 5 soldiers, 3 vigilantes and 1 Civilian JTF lost their lives during the ambush, while 19 soldiers and 1 Civilian JTF sustained various degrees of injuries. The bodies of the late soldiers and civilians have been evacuated to Maiduguri while the injured are receiving commensurate medical care and are in stable condition. An unidentified man was apprehended on Sunday by the police after he was caught with a severed head of a lady at the Greater Accra campaign launch of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to several reports, the man who was almost killed by an angry mob before the intervention of the police, was caught carrying the severed head in a polythene bag to the campaign ground.  The man is presently at the community 1 Police Station for investigation... The operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested six teenage mobile phone thieves in Oshodi.  The suspects were all apprehended in Oshodi Oke  on Friday  morning, October 28th, while brazenly dispossessing commuters of their belongings.  They are: Ganiyu Rahman Sadiq Adebayo (15); Timilehin Oluwaseun (14); Ogundare Moyinoluwa (18); Toheeb Tijani (19) and Adeleke Sodiq (17). A black Trump supporter was thrown out of a campaign rally after he was accused of being a protester.  C. J. Cary , a long time supporter of the Donald, attended the rally in Kinston, North Carolina on Wednesday.  Trump was mid-speech when the crowd began booing, waving their Trump Pence signs and pointing at Cary. 'That's all right, leave him alone,' the Republican presidential candidate told the crowd, according to the News Observer.  But he swiftly changed his mind.  'We have a protester,' Trump declared.  'By the way, were you paid $1,500 to be a thug?' he asked, scanning the crowd. 'Where's the protester? Where is he? Was he paid?' 'You can get him out, Trump said, addressing his security. 'Get him out.'
