Two Nigerian teenagers and a girl caught with 30 parcels of marijuana (Photos)

The Eastern Regional Police Command in Ghana have arrested two teenagers, including a girl for possessing narcotic substances, believed to be marijuana.   The two, Evelyn Adade Korkor, 19 years, and  Felix Gyimah, 18, were arrested while attempting to transport 30 parcels of the substance together with cassava in 2 sacks from Huhunya to Nkurakan in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Spokesperson of the Eastern Regional Police Command, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, told Citi News the two suspects will soon be arraigned. Narrating circumstances leading to their arrest, ASP Tetteh said: “We have arrested two teenagers.  They were arrested based upon a tip-off from the Police. The two suspects were carrying two sacks of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.  They were actually compressed dry leaves numbering about thirty. Update! 65yr old Lagos business woman caught with drugs gets 25 years imprisonment

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced 65 year old Odeyemi Omolola,  pictured above, to 25 years imprisonment, for attempting to traffick 1.595 kilogrammes of cocaine to Saudi Arabia.   Omolola who also goes by the name Ariyo Monsurat Olabisi, was arrested on February 24th  this year at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, during the outward clearance of passengers of Egypt Air Flight to Saudi Arabia, at the Egypt Air check-in counter. 1 .595kg of cocaine was found in her possession. Omolola was first arraigned in May on a three count charge of conspiracy, unlawful possession of banned drugs and attempt to export banned substances to Saudi Arabia.  She was arraigned alongside Lagos socialite,  Mrs. Funmilola Ogbuaya, popularly known in social circles as Ariket. Nigerian man wanted over suspected abuse, death of his girlfriend's 5-year-old son by Malaysia Police

The police are looking for a 31-year-old Nigerian man identified as Ebiziem Ifeanyi Stephen to assist in investigations into the death of a five-year-old boy last Thursday, June 22. Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Ruslan Khalid said that the police brought in the deceased's mother, Nurfathiehah Ahmad Rokmar, 28, on June 23. "She was picked up by the police in Bayan Baru, Penang and will be remanded until June 30," he said in a press conference at the district police headquarters today, Thursday, June 29, adding that they may seek an extension. CP Ruslan said that Ebeziem (pictured), is Nurfathiehah's boyfriend and is believed to be still in the country. Sattahip police, Thailand were called to a deserted house after the owner of a seven year old Thai dog reported that a man had raped her pet. The dog owner Bang-orn Phumkaew called the cops after catching the 65 year old man completely naked with "Jao Jut", a Thai breed of dog. The culprit "Chen" was caught having intercourse with the dog, on Wednesday, June 28. She said that she and her son had become suspicious as every day the same man would come to visit the deserted house 50 meters from theirs. And every time he arrived and went into the property their dog would wag its tail and run out to go and meet him. At first it seemed innocent, then their suspicions were aroused. UK Deports 28 Nigerians Over Illegal Stay

The United Kingdom (UK) deported another 28 Nigerians from its country on Thursday for remaining in the country illegally. The deportation came two days after Spain repatriated 23 Nigerians for criminal and immigration-related offenses. Thursday’s deportees were returned aboard a chartered Titanic Airways plane with the registration number AWC-761/2. The deportees, comprising 21 men and 7 women, touched down at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos at about 12:15 p.m. One of the female deportees was brought back into the country in a wheelchair and was immediately attended to by Port Health officials, who in turn transferred her to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ayinke House in an ambulance. A 48-year-old Nigerian man was savagely pulled out of a train by two ticket inspectors of the Deutsche Bahn German train system because he did not have a ticket. The man had been discovered when the inspectors got to him during a check. Upon discovery, they asked him to show an ID card and pay a €60 fine but when he couldn't, he was forced out of the train. A witness captured the inspectors on camera as they engaged in a struggle with the man who vehemently refused to leave the train. The Nigerian fare-dodger held on to metal handrails and refused to let go as two men in uniform struggled to get him out of the train headed to Munich city center from the airport. One of the inspectors can be seen grabbing the man's neck and pulling him towards the door while another tried to remove the man's hand from the rail. A Nigerian behind thousands of online scams around the world has been arrested in the southern oil city of Port Harcourt, Interpol alleges. The 40-year-old man, known only as "Tony Oluwafemi" is alleged to head a network of 40 individuals behind global scams worth more than $60m (£45m). His operations involved using malware to take over systems to compromise emails, as well as romance scams. Nigeria's anti-fraud agency was also involved in the arrest. "In one case, a target was conned into paying out $15.4 m (£11m)," Interpol said in a statement.
